Tarifa Hotspot for Surfers

There, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic merge and Africa for nearly within reach,
is situated the small town of Tarifa. Be called a wild paradise on the southernmost tip of
the Iberian Peninsula, whose inhabitants from the rest of Spain's humorous "Locos," the crazies.
And the Spaniards have not entirely wrong, because you have to feel much love for the homeland,
to live here want. This is due to the strong easterly winds in the Strait of Gibraltar.
The Levante blows sometimes stronger, sometimes weaker, but almost always through the narrow
streets of the white city and the preceding twelve-kilometer beach, Playa de los Lances.
In the late 70s, discovered the first wind surfer, the small fishing village in itself,
and some have never gone back. Tarifa is today officially the capital of the wind and one of
the best places for wind and kite surfers.
