Unusual Beaches


The beaches have to be alone and do not always know to be genuine interest, to prove these
three destinations. From New Zealand to St. Martin to California, we show you the most
spectacular beaches in the world.
Hot Water Beach, Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand
Do you know of a beach in the hot bubbling, bubbling hot water from the depths of the soil?
Where every visitor can dig your own spa? In the heart of the North Island of New Zealand,
on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, which lies about two kilometers long Bay Hot Water
Beach. Two hours before and after low tide penetrates up to 64 degrees Celsius hot water to
the surface of the beach. Many tourists bring their own shovel to dig with and a private pool.
Locals and tourists happily sit wet in the spa together and celebrate while coming to the flood.
Getting there
Flights with Air New Zealand to Auckland cost from 1139 $ , from Auckland by ferry  for 40 $ in
2 hours through the Coromandel Hauraki Gulf, on with the car
(Bring-up and delivery service to the ferry terminal) to Hahei from 80 $ for 2 days.
Spade in the accommodations, there are usually free or borrow in the only cafe and shop at
Hot Water Beach for 5 $.
Maho Beach, St. Martin, Caribbean
The almost 100 square kilometers Caribbean island of St. Martin is divided into a French and
a Dutch half. In the southern part, which is one of the Netherlands, is
the Princess Juliana Airport. Only a few meters away, the picturesque Maho beach with turquoise
water and white sand Caribbean but deafening noise. Nevertheless, it attracts thousands of
tourists to only about 300 meters of coastline on St. Martin. Because the beach is at the end of
the airport's flight. This flying machine just 10 to 20 meters above the sea and set just behind
at the landing. Nowhere else can the steel birds can be admired in detail. But the watch is
not for the faint of heart, and for sensitive ears.
Getting there
The island of St. Martin is easily accessible from Europe. The Air France KLM flies daily and
three times a week via Amsterdam .
Best place to watch this spectacle, the Sunset Bar & Grill on the beach at Maho. On a surfboard,
the arrival times of all machines are listed. The pilots are great although not until
the afternoon.
Glass Beach, Ft. Bragg, California
Until the 60s the residents of Fort Bragg, California, have thrown their household waste over
the cliffs into the sea, there was no landfill. Over time, the waves and the weather have
destroyed millions of glass shards, crushed and rounded. Today the beach sparkles and shines
with the colorful "sea glass" like no other in the world. From the beach of trash at the time
the Glass Beach has become. Many tourists scour the beach for a souvenir or gift. Ironically,
where it was once illegal to dispose of glass on the beach, it is now against the law to remove
it again.
